Humanics@FresnoState believes in the POWER OF RELATIONSHIPS, and our program is rooted in a relational culture that helps people discover their philanthropic passion, provides them with applied skills training and knowledge and connects them to each other and to organizations making a difference in the Valley.
Today, approximately 40 students are actively seeking Humanics Certification. Since 2001, more than 220 students (representing 23 different majors) have graduated from California State University, Fresno with either the Humanics Certificate in Administration and Leadership for Community Benefit Organizations, the Minor Degree in Philanthropic and Community-based Leadership, and/or a special major in Community Benefit Administration. Approximately 70% of our alumni are employed in the community benefit sector (with 70% of them employed locally), and 10% have become directors, executive directors, or CEOs.
