Position Description: Responsibilities would include educating Madera
County residents about the changes in voting by helping with: outreach
events, coordinate two voter education forums, collecting information, data
entry, sending reminder emails and mail contacts, attending meetings and
other duties as assigned.

Hours/Days: 150 Hours Total, to be arranged

Award Amount: $1,750 Scholarship, payable upon completion of hours at the
end of the semester through the Community Service Scholarship Program plus
mileage when driving to an event or meeting in Madera

Majors: Political Science, Sociology, Women’s Studies, Public Relations,
Marketing, All majors

Qualifications: Bilingual Required (Spanish or Punjabi); intern must have
the ability to travel in Madera County to conduct work on behalf of RICV;
if operating their own vehicle, intern will be required to provide proof of
a valid California driver’s license and car insurance.

**FINANCIAL AID APPLICANTS AND RECIPIENTS PLEASE NOTE: * Although this
program provides a number of excellent benefits, receipt of a scholarship
is based on eligibility. If you have no Remaining Need, you may not be able
to participate in the program. (To see if you have Remaining Need, log into
your My Fresno State account; go to Student Center; select My Finances;
click on View Financial Aid; select Aid Year at top of list; click on
Financial Aid Summary; and look at Remaining Need amount. This must be at
least $1750 or higher to earn the scholarship. If not, you might be able to
increase your Remaining Need by reducing or declining one or more loan
offer/s.)
