The student leaders of the Fresno State Food Recovery Network want to let
you know that on *Thursday, December 7 from 5 P.M. to 9 P.M., we are having
a fundraiser at the Chipotle by campus (4978 N Cedar Ave, Fresno, CA 93726
).*
If
before you pay, you show a physical copy of our flyer, a photo of it, or
simply tell the cashier that you are there to support Fresno State Food
Recovery Network, half of the proceeds will be donated directly to us! The
flyer is below as well as attached to this email 🙂

*What is Fresno State Food Recovery Network? *
We are a chapter of the national organization Food Recovery Network. We
work to fight hunger and food waste at the same time by taking perfectly
good food that would have been thrown away and bringing it to people in
need. We recover from both the Fresno State dining hall and Manchester
farmers market, We also pick excess fruits and vegetables from
trees/gardens that homeowners give us access to. Unsurprisingly, picking
and moving large quantities of produce isn’t easy. The ability to purchase
supplies like durable wagons would be instrumental in allowing our
recoveries to become more efficient, productive, and frequent. This means
that we would be able to save and donate even more food. We cannot express
how grateful we would be if you were able to participate and to help fund
our efforts to support those in need both on and off of our campus.
