*Communications Manager* (based in one of CFJ’s four regional offices in
Fresno, Long Beach, Oakland, or San Jose)

*Position Overview*

The Communications Manager works with CFJ’s statewide team to create
perception-shifting messages and media strategies for local and statewide
campaigns that advance racial and educational justice while elevating the
organization’s brand. The Communications Manager will 1) plan, create, and
manage content; 2) create and execute media strategies; 3) lead assigned
strategic communication projects that include staff and youth leader
trainings, and 4) manage communication protocols and processes to ensure
overall communications consistency and effectiveness.

The Communications Manager reports to the Communications Director and works
closely with other CFJ staff. The position is full-time and exempt. In all
duties and responsibilities, this position exercises discretion and
independent judgment.

*Organizer (based in San Jose)*

*Position Overview*

The Organizer will lead and coordinate CFJ’s grassroots organizing work in
San Jose through base building, leadership development and other activities
with high school students. The Organizer will also participate in CFJ’s
local and statewide education organizing and campaign work through action
research, coordinating campaign events, delegations, alliance work, and
electoral organizing.

The Organizer is part of a four-person team: an Organizing Director, Lead
Organizer, and two Organizers. The Organizer reports to the Lead Organizer
in San Jose and also works closely with the other CFJ regional organizers.
The position is full-time and exempt. In all duties and responsibilities,
this position exercises discretion and independent judgment.
