Another visit this semester that I enjoyed was the Forestiere Underground Gardens. Here we got to talk with two family members about the history, passion, and brains behind this modern day masterpiece.  Baldassare Forestiere was a self-taught artist and visionary. Each room was built by his hands with ancient Roman inspiration. I enjoyed hearing about his aspirations for his land and the community of Fresno. Also, he had his own form of solar panels to heat up his bath water. He was truly ahead of his time. This place is a local wonderland and I can’t wait to go back with my friends and family to show them around. (Photo Credit: Cintia Quesada)
