Since I had never been to PechaKucha, I didn’t know what to expect. All I knew is that there were going to be presentations with pictures. However, I was in for a big surprise when there was several different presentations about seemingly very different things. What I learned is that the presentations had main themes and the whole point of watching a series of images with a speaker saying few words is that the audience reacts in some emotional way according to what images are used and what words are said. In other words, the most important part is the response from the audience whether it’s laughing, crying, speculating, etc. There were interesting presentations! I’m glad I went to experience what it was like to be part of the audience…now it’s time to be on the other side by creating a presentation in the same format.
