I am a non-swimmer; flunked swimming in high school. Yep!  I tried every year for the first 20 years of my life and I never learned. What do you think would happen to me if we were hit by a tsunami? Drowning in a sea of water is an understatement! I would be dead; non-existent! Why? Because I never learned the basics of swimming. If you can’t swim how do you avoid drowning? That life vest may not be around when you really need it. So how do we prepare ourselves for unstable waters?  COURAGE!!! The courage to do something we have never done before, the courage to learn something new, the courage to change, the courage to imagine, the courage to collaborate, the courage to experiment, and most important the courage to speak up and take care of YOU!
Let’s face it, some organizations lack courage. They don’t ask for help. They don’t want to tell you what’s going on. They don’t want anyone in their busy. They don’t work with others. The worse offense, they don’t ASK! The waters are tough and rough. If we are in a “sea change” we must prepare for the worse and have the COURAGE to do what is necessary to stay alive.
