In our site visit to Neighborhood Thrift Store, I was very touched by the wonderful work that AP and Bryan Feil have done to help community members gain the working skills needed to become self-sustainable. However, when they were asked the question regarding how they measure success, they responded that making a difference in one, two, or five individuals’ lives is enough for them to know that they are successful. I feel that Neighborhood Thrift store has great potential to reach a more significant number of community members by creating more job positions by opening more Thrift stores within the same community. I was happy to hear that their goal is to open more thrift stores to help their community. With Neighborhood Thrift Store celebrating their 4th anniversary, I would like to applaud the great work and success they’ve had in business and serving their community in such a short amount of time.
