I interviewed Erik Beltran, a local artist. I think it is great that he is able to combine something that he loves to do with making money. Often people become so concerned with making money that they neglect what they love. In the interview, Beltran noted that in the past he was more concerned with making art than making money and would pass up lucrative opportunities. But more recently, he has found a way to combine what he loves to do with making money and has not had to make too many sacrifices in the process.

His advice to CBOs was to not be afraid to work with other organizations, even seemingly unrelated ones. This is good advice because often organizations close themselves off to other CBOs because they are not doing the exact same thing. However, organizations can learn from each other even if they are pursing different missions.
